Snoring of My Roommate

Does anyone think that how he/she can generate or make sound while he/she is sleeping? Isn't it very interesting to know and sometime very irritating to handle? Yes, specially when your roomate is snoring while you are sleeping.

The most important part is that person who is snoring, not even aware about his snoring activity. Very unlikely that snoring is not even disturbing his sleep. He/she will be in a very peaceful sleep. When you inform them next day, they are in a shock and not even ready to accept their noisy and non-human activity. For such cases, our very much realtime handy and helping tool - mobile - captured the video/sound of the person who was snoring and we showed it to him. Caught you..!!! :) :)

Jokes apart, but It really make me curious that what does make us to snore while we are sleeping and I end finding below details and stats from my favourite search engine.

"what causes snoring is simple. While asleep, the tissues of the throat and nose vibrate because of the air flowing through them. The volume of the snoring sound can therefore be largely dictated by the turbulence of the air flowing through the throat and nose. The more turbulent the airflow, the louder is the snoring and vice-versa; the lesser the turbulence, the more likely that the sound would be more tolerable for a bedmate or roommate."

"Statistics on snoring are often contradictory, but at least 30% of adults are snoring. 60% of men and 40% of women aged 60 to 65 years are snoring. this suggests an increased susceptibility to snoring as age increases."

And unfortunately, my roommate is a part of this snoring community. :)

Thanks to medical science that there are many such solutions like nasal sprays, nasal strips or nose clips are available in the market for snoring treatment which helps you to reduce snoring. So, my roommate do not have to worry much about, as he is getting married in few months.

This post of my blog is actually dedicated to him. Because of his snoring ,I couldn't sleep many nights and end up reading many good books (after giving him so much galis). Today, as he is leaving our room, I will wish him all the best for his future endeavors on his last day and wish to myself a very happy and peaceful sleep now onwards.
