Talagad and Ghosalgad Trekking

Talagad and Ghosalgad (the twin forts), we covered in single day. Talagad fort is situated on the bank of the Malati creek (a small stream, often a shallow or intermittent tributary to a river connected to the sea), Ghosalgad is situated between the Sawle Creek and Revdanad creek. The main reason of building these forts are to keep vigil on the invaders, who can get in, through western coastline. In Ghosalgad the point where they keep a watch on this creek is called "Canon Point". We saw an old canon at this point. Also, there is one "Chor darwaja" from where they can get out of the fort when they lost the battle for the fort.

These forts were strategically and amazingly build. It is interesting to know about their existence and story behind it.

Let's respect and preserve our national heritage and glory...!!!

I have captured some photos during this trekking.

You can see the creek in this photograph.

wishful words !!!...when turned into reality...

In my previous post here, I have talked about the unintentional curse. Similarly, we also give wishful words during our conversation. Ofcourse, it is happy moment for us that our wishes are helpful to others to fulfill their dreams. We always try to do that. But little surprising on the other side that our wishful words converted into reality.

A small scenario of my wishful words for others. me and my friend colleague were having conversation about his life’s crucial thing (here some crucial things means which can not possible with efforts, hard work. They need lots blessing and wishes). He is very negative, pessimistic and having uninterested kind of attitude. During the conversation, I have rested him with lots of argument and just give a few words about a must possibility of that thing. When his life changing wish came true just few days back, he was very happy and was telling that your words converted in reality.

On the other side I was wondering about that my words were converted into reality. Being in this science world, we definitely think that it was a co-incidence. But slightly spark will surely happen in back of your mind that might be some person’s wishful words can convert our wish into reality. No wonder that we must be looking for such kind of person and their wishful words.

A humorous part about this incident is that when I told to my friend that my words are not converting my wish into reality. He suggested I should try against mirror and give some wishful words about myself… Not a bad idea !!!.......he he he :) :)

For a Reason, Season or a Lifetime...!!!

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is,
you will know what to do for that person..

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is
usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you
through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part
or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something
to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met,
our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and
now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
things you must build upon in order
to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put
what you have learned to use in all other
relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life,
whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Is that a Dignified farewell to Lord Ganesha ..?

Mumbai's most popular festival, Ganesh Chathurthi came to an end onThursday. Several thousands of Ganesh idols were immersed in various beaches in Mumbai. We all are in the celebration mood and worship lord Ganesha with so much devotion but when it comes to bid farewell to the lord, we do all kinds of activity which must be really hurting to the lord.

A pray to lord- we do for peace, prosperity and what not but when it comes to take care of his world we don't even think twice to destroy it. The aftereffect of this festival could be seen in various beaches with piled up Plaster of Paris (POP) idols flowers, cardboards, materials used for puja, plastic bags and litters.

It is here that we like minded people came together to give a helping hand for a dignified farewell to our lord by doing our bit in keeping the Mother Nature clean.

More than 150 enthusiastic employees of my office joined hands with BMC in cleaning Juhu Beach during the morning hours of 4th Sept2009 on working day. Ganesha Idols, non-biodegradable materials, cardboards etc were removed in large quantities by the Volunteers to clean the JUHU beach and contributed our bit under "Save our Beach" campaign.

Things are changing in a year. Last year, i was just putting comments on someone's blog that we shouldn't support Ganpati Visargan activity(or support Eco-friendly Ganpati) and don't not allow anybody to pollute our natural resources. This year, I got a chance to do a bit of action(rather just to comment) to save our beaches. Thank you GOD...!!!
