I got a chance to read a book "problem solving creatively at Birbal's way". This book is having all the tales which we might have heard from our elders as stories or probably seen in TV serials. In this book, at the end of every tale they have included management lesson which is quite good. Also, this book gives you messages that how to develop wisdom and become wise like Birbal and solve the problem using creative thinking.
Out of all, the last anecdote is very interesting. Akbar asked birbal “what make you such a wise and intelligent person”. Birbal divulged "I am observing the people and don't repeat their mistakes in my life." That made him wise, smart and intelligent person. That is really good way to learning new things.
After reading this book in the night, When next morning I waked up, I was thinking about the gist from this book. Suddenly it striked me that why did Birbal never try to acquire the position of Akbar? He is such a wise and an intelligent man. Is it because of Birbal's own ethics or Akbar is smart enough to handle person like Birbal? Asked few people around and they gave me good answer that "wise people never run for the position". But as per my thinking, this might not be very practical answer while living in today's world. Everyone is running to acquire higher positions. Let’s not dig much on this here. Lets look other way than Akbar taught us very good lesson which is not mentioned in the book. Akbar is teaching us that a person can be a master in limited fields but not in all. So, you might have to take the help of other experts to complete your work by giving them compensation or in lieu of something. Also, there is Another implicit message is that when you are taking work from other experts, you should know how to control them otherwise may be next day they will become master and you will turn into slave.
As an Individual it’s good to have qualities and thinking which birbal has, but Akbar's qualities are far superior as it teaches us core management lesson. May possible that all entrepreneurs or industrialists are following this.

Such thinking always makes me to think..Should a person be
" JACK OF ALL " or " MASTER OF ONE "
and is it better to be a jack of all and master of none?
@Hitesh:As per my view, in initial years of your carrier you can be a master of one but when you start climbing management ladder you should be "Jack of All".
But remember, views differ from person to person.
someone had said "wise ppl dont always run for positions "
@chinmai: Agreed. But if you consider today's world scenario, it leads to the same conclusion :)
